She becomes increasingly obsessed with M and launches a nationwide search through the tabloid that she writes for. . . to unravel M’s identity.
Sharp, funny, dramatic, Goda is about young men putting the gears into the game of seduction.
THE CHARACTERS
M is an anonymous ‘love coach’ who solves love problems for guys through the internet from his blog “Goda”. As the narrator of the story, he seems to have perfect solutions for problematic relationships and for guys trying to get the girl of their dreams. This ranges from self-confidence to insights about women and to help men understand women better.
Although he also appears on radio occasionally, his true identity is still a best-kept secret. Who is M? Is he suave, is he ordinary... or is he the loser Sanya thinks he is?
SANYA (Starring Sazzy Falak)
Beauty with attitude, 26 years old Sanya is from a middle-class background. Sanya doesn’t believe in special privileges and knows that everything she achieves comes from self-motivated hard work.
Although slightly conflicted about working at a tabloid, Sanya’s smart, clued in enough to know headlines that make tabloids fly off the racks. To sate her personal desire to write, Sanya also keeps a private blog.
She is very bi-lingual although she writes for a Malay tabloid. While studying at UM for a degree in Communications, she did her internship at Harian Kota (a Malay tabloid) and impressed the pants off the editor who snapped her up upon graduation and is determined to keep her happy at Harian Kota. He’s already refused her resignation 3 times.
As work requires her to attend events littered with ‘artis-artis’, she prefers to spend free time on her own. She was terribly hurt in university by her 1 st love, a handsome senior who promised to remain committed but broke her heart soon after he left to do his postgraduate studies abroad, on a UM scholarship. She has never quite gotten over it and has rarely dated in the last three years.
Sanya knows that she’s capable of a lot more but something is holding her back.
BURHAN (Introducing Lash Mokhtar)
Burhan, 25, comes across as a bumbling geek. Everyone’s doormat, he’s overly ‘Mr Nice Guy’ who needs to discover that seductive confidence streaked with occasional ‘bad boy’ charm can turn women on. However at the moment Burhan has low self-esteem partially contributed by a bad dandruff problem.
He’s not the sort you would remember immediately but once you allow yourself to know him, Burhan’s someone you’ll never forget. If a sense of humour is what all women want in a man, then Burhan has a secret weapon he needs to un-sheath more often.
Burhan’s graduated from a local university with a generic business management degree. Originally from Slim River, the world he’s from is poles apart from Adela’s.
ADELA (introducing Dilla Syahirah, winner of Malaysia’s Most Beautiful)
Attractive, sharp, driven, Adela, 24 is the only child of Datuk Razak, the CEO of the company that Burhan works for. She has always led a privileged but sheltered live – when she went to the US to study, dad bought her a flashy flat and gave her a platinum card so that she had no woes apart from focussing on her studies.
She was immediately made MD of her Dad’s company upon returning to KL. Enroute to branding herself as a ‘corporate star, Adela is always in the press and on covers of high society magazines. She has a close girlfriend, also a daughter of rich entrepreneur. She has frequent 1-2-1’s with her dad about the business.
Although her dad suspects it, he does not know the extent of ‘Adela, the party animal’ and is blind to the fact that she uses men to her advantage. She unfortunately thinks Burhan is a complete bumbling geek.
THE DRAMA
In each episode, Goda follows the unravelling drama in Burhan, Adela and Sanya’s lives. We also see M in ‘action’ through his blog, narrating advice to a different guy (Guy A, B, C etc) in each episode about getting seduction right.
Will Sanya finally find out M’s true identity? Will Sanya’s give her ex a second chance? Will Burhan get his Adela?
All in Goda.
